A former professional player and esteemed captain of Miami United FC, Coach Miguel brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and tactical expertise to the next generation of soccer players. Over a career spanning nearly a decade, Benito became a defining figure in Miami soccer, making close to 100 appearances for Miami United and leading the team to multiple trophies. His leadership was instrumental in the club’s historic 3-0 victory over Mexican powerhouse Pachuca in 2022, a defining moment that cemented his legacy.

Born and raised in Miami, Benito’s journey began at Nova High School, where his passion for the game took root. He then honed his skills at Warner University, playing as a midfielder and becoming a pivotal force in the Royals’ success. His transition to Miami United FC in 2020 marked the beginning of an era of leadership, camaraderie, and competitive excellence.

Now stepping into coaching, Benito is dedicated to developing players both on and off the field. His philosophy is built on discipline, teamwork, and a deep tactical understanding of the game. He thrives on mentoring young athletes, helping them elevate their performance while fostering a winning mentality. Having been praised for his ability to unite teams and inspire individuals, Benito is committed to shaping the next generation of soccer talent.

With over a decade of coaching experience, Coach Grande has dedicated his career to developing players of all ages and skill levels, from youth athletes to professionals. His coaching philosophy is built on two essential pillars: technique and confidence—the foundation every player needs to compete at the highest level.

A product of DC United’s Academy and Real Maryland FC, Coach Grande has an extensive playing background that spans North America, South America, and Europe. His career highlights include an invitation to El Salvador’s U20 National Team training camp before the 2013 U20 World Cup Qualifiers and professional trials with Limianos AD and Ponte Da Barca in Portugal. He later continued his career in Peru before returning to the U.S. to compete with Miami United FC.

Drawing from his international playing experience, Coach Grande brings a global perspective to his coaching, incorporating techniques and strategies learned from top-tier coaches worldwide. He understands that while fitness develops through consistent training, technical ability and game intelligence are what separate great players from the rest.
